Member must purchase there own meter if he or she wishes to use electricity on boat. It must be visible similar to metermaid provide by the club and meeting IP44 electricity standard. ***Attention all Members!*** The cruiser shed in the club will be cleaned up this month. There is a lot of rubbish in there and this will be disposed of. If you have any items in the shed that you want to keep please tag / label same by April 20th !!! Anything untagged after that will be removed ! The annual Cong – Galway Sailing Race, Europe’s oldest and longest inland water sailing race, will take place this year on Saturday the 10th of June 2017 in association with Galway Bay Sailing Club, Galway City Sailing Club & Cumainn Seoltóireacht an Spidéil. C.R.& Y.C.’s new Recreational Rowing Boat was officially launched on Sunday 9th April 2017 by Rowing Ireland’s new president, Eamonn Colclough, along with the C.R.& Y.C. committee and club members. It was great to see so many members coming along on the day to support this new initiative.
Many thanks to all our members who attended the AGM in the clubhouse on March 8th last. Our new committee for 2017 was elected and two new trustees were unanimously ratified and elected to join the current 4 trustees of the club. Brigid Brophy and Noel Dalton now join our existing group of trustees Seán Tierney, James Curran, Éamon Lawless and Adrian Ryder. Congratulations to them both. The RNLI will be running a FREE Lifejacket Advice Clinic and Water Safety Information Day this Saturday the 6th August in Fanore from 12pm – 6pm. Well worth a visit! Bring your lifejackets along and learn how to check and maintain them!
